Summary
Wonder why these guys look so proud? This is Sonny Cannon and his crew showing off a new 1953 LaFrance engine along with its predecessors (Sonny is far right with his foot on the new engine). At this time Sonny was not only chief of the Brunswick Fire Department, he was a political force in Frederick Co and a local entertainment impresario.
Seated on the 1922 LaFrance Pete Minnick (behind the wheel), Noel Shewbridge. On the bumper are Bud Harrison and Charlie Smith.
On the 1938 Ford (L-R) Bunky Wigington, Walter Rice and Paul Tritapoe.
On the 1953 LaFrance, the man on the left is believed to be Happ Price. Sonny Cannon is standing with his foot on the running board.
