Cheryl Shrey: The Washington Post did a nice article on Great Great Uncle Les and Polly in the 1970s. When forced from the waterfront he moved into a small building behind his sister, Hazel Conner Coffman, house. Uncle Les liked his drink more than he should, as a Vet he frequented the Legion often and likely slept off benders in the old Karns lumber building. He spent his last years residing on S Virginia Avenue. In May of 1986 he died in his bed.
