Summary
As steam locomotives smoke their way through the B&O yards in 1906, here's another reminder of why we call Brunswick "Smoketown".

W Frank Mathers Fred George of Lovettsville says that he remembers some of the old timers say that the B&O had about 52 separate crew assignment at one point in time. This can be evidenced by the number of locomotive plumes seen in just this short span of landscape. Those fifty-two assignments don't take in the many through trains entering the yards from both the east and west.
