Summary

A Wenner-Van Pelt family photo on Easter Sunday, 1945, taken in the garden of the Wenner home on 1320 Petersville Road. Seated were Ann Wenner (Osteen), Edna Garrott Wenner, E. Virginia (Patty) Wenner. Standing in back were Edith Wenner Van Pelt, Edith's children Ginny and Mac Van Pelt, who was home from his service in World War II, Mrs. Van Pelt.

Edna Wenner was the mother of Patty and Edith, grandmother of Ann.

Doris Kelley Barker It is the Wenner's backyard on (the Brunswick) side of Souder Road. It is Uncle Harry & Aunt Cora’s Anderson’s brick house (in the background) with the beautiful terraced yard. He would begin mowing on Monday afternoon with his push mower & didn’t finish until Saturday evening; no mowing on Sunday, just Church morning & night. He began again on Monday afternoon after working at the Shop for the B&O RR. I was born in that house--3 doctors--and lived with my parents there until I was 2-1/2. We all loved each other & got along really good. All the kids from Rosemont came to that lawn to play softball, including your Dad (Billy Wenner), Ann, & me when we finally moved into our own house which was built for my parents in 1924 by Charles Karn, way ahead of others."
