Nancy Baker: I'll never forget getting the phone call. Mr compher had been sick. Mom Compher went up to lay down. I was tending bar. Getting drinks for waitress's check out customers. Answering the phone for orders to go. Normal night. Momma came down stairs from apartment over restaurant. Let her get her self together, and she called me to her table. She said I'm good, you can go home now and be with your family. I kissed her on the forehead. Drove home. Phone rang about 11-12. Jimmy said mom's gone. Well of course I was like Jimmy your drinking. I just left restaurant. You mean dad. He said no mom feel over right in restaurant after you left and she is gone. We all just sat in dinning area of restaurant in disbelief. It's never been the same. She was an angel here on earth.

Peggy Jean Lewis: You could order a spaghetti to go and you had to take your own pan out to pick it up. They would fill up that pan and I mean fill it up!!!! One order was enough for 2-3 people!!!
