Kiersten has been running since first grade and has run four seasons of cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. During her years in high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society and other high school clubs.<br />
Kiersten was honored to be selected for the Werner H. Kirsten Internship at the National Institutes of Health’s National Cancer Institute at Fort Detrick. She spent last summer and this past school year working in the Occupational Health Services Office where she learned basic nursing skills.<br />
She has been accepted into Hood college’s Nursing Program for the fall where she hopes to become an emergency room nurse. She plans on running for Hood and looks forward to her new adventures. She misses her friends and teachers.<br />
