Mary Francis (Russell) Wetnight (1922 – 1988), Brunswick Distinguished CitizenDistinguished Citizen 1982 Brunswick: 100 Years of History (1990) Wetnight, Mary Frances Russell (1922-1988) Honored 1982 Mary Frances Russell managed the Sidetrack Gift Shop of the Brunswick Potomac Foundation, and was active in Inner Wheel and First Baptist Church. In spite of severe arthritis which at times confined her to bed and necessitated hospitalization, she continued an active life as manager of the gift shop as well as other community volunteer work. Wetnight Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Frances Wetnight, 65, of Brunswick, who died Friday, July 1, were held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, at the John T. Williams Funeral Home, Brunswick. Officiating was the Rev. Frederick Gamble. Interment was in the Reformed Cemetery, Middletown. Bearers were William Yingling, Norman W. Gaither, Robert Halley, Sherman Wood, Lee B. Smith and Karskon Myers. Mrs. Wetnight was the wife of John D. Wetnight.
