The crossed anchors are my Navy pin showing that I was a Boatswain's Mate. The 9-11 pin signifies my NY roots and the fact that we should never forget that tragic day. The blue pin is awarded to a Legion Member who has recruited 3 new members in the past year. This pin was sent to me by Denise Rohan, the first female Commander of the National American Legion. The ALA, poppy and small button pin towards the front of my cap are American Legion Auxiliary pins as I was the 1st Vice President last year and the Secretary of Unit 96 Auxiliary this year. Hence the Dual Member pin below the Commander pin.

Brunswick Organization: Steadman-Keenan American Legion Post 96

The hat with the Commander pin on it belongs to Pam Holzman. Ms Holzman was installed as only the second female commander in the history of the Brunswick American Legion. She was installed on July 5, 2018. Per Ms Holzman, The pins in the hat reflect my own personal story.
