Brunswick School: Brunswick High School Journalism

This photo is from 1989 and shows the members of the BHS Journalism Class.

Students studied the basic principles of print and media journalism as they examined the role this form of communications in society. They learned investigative skills, responsible reporting and journalistic writing techniques as they read, responded to, and wrote their own news and feature articles.

Students learned about the function of an independent press in a free society and the technologies that affect how news is disseminated. They explored career opportunities in journalism and the required training or education for those careers.

I believe either Frank Booth or Pat Dick taught the class at this time.

In the photo (L to R) – Jennifer Morton, Russell Adams, Anna Pontillo, Michelle Maniez, Erica Maniez, Lisa Clizbe, Jodi Boaze, Cindy Fisher, Tracy Butler, Dana Cullen, Monica Miller, Chrissy Baker, Tim Murray, Dan Murphy, John Breedon :=)!
