JoEllen Morsberger Fisher: My MeeMaw Nellie, Nellie Green Roby, grew up in Lovettsville, Va, married Alonzo 'Tete' Roby. Spent the rest of her life in and serving Brunswick. She was the first woman to be elected to a council seat in the town of Brunswick and in Frederick County. My grandmother was a woman born before her time and taken to soon but I believe she accomplished a lot while she was here. She had a true love for Brunswick and served this town proudly. I will be forever grateful for the few years I had with her and proud to be known as Nellie Roby's granddaughter. | |||
