Summary

School, Brunswick High School 1992

This photo is from 1992 and shows a number of members of that year’s Junior class.

I always thought that being a Junior in high school was the best year as a student. By the Junior year you usually understands the ins-and-outs of how high school works, yet at the same time not experience the pressures that Seniors do in their last year of high school.

However even though being a Junior gives you some time before graduation, it is also a time to start thinking about life after high school. Do you want to go to a 4 year college/university, or maybe a community college, the military, a trade school, or go straight into the workforce?

By your Junior year you usually have tried various sports and/or other extracurricular activities and so have learned what activities fit you best and so bring you the most enjoyment. You also have a pretty good idea of what teachers / courses are good and those you probably want to avoid.

And of course by your Junior year you probably have your driver’s license and experience the freedom that can bring. This can make easier for you to hold a paying job, and having additional money in your pocket is always a good thing.
