Several City officials and staff members were fortunate to attend the Frederick County Public Safety Awards sponsored by the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce. The event was held this morning, March 8th at the Brunswick Fire Hall. Pictured here are just a few of this year's winners, along with City officials. Left to right: former City employee Geri Reynolds, award recipient; Mayor Pro Tem Angel White; former City employee Cassie Hayter, award recipient; Police Chief Milt Frech; Brunswick Officer First Class Tom Jesson, award recipient; Council Member Walt Stull; Mayor Karin Tome; former Council Member Andy Alger, award recipient; and Council Member Carroll Jones. Also present, but not pictured were Council Members Ellis Burruss and Harry Lashley. Officer First Class Jesson received the award for the Brunswick Officer of the Year for his role in Honoring a Fallen Hero, stepping up in the department when Officer Moxley passed away in July. Congratulations to all of the winners and thank you for your service.
