Dr. Shirley Beard Colvin is a 1955 graduate of Lincoln High and earned a doctorate from the University of Maryland in 1987. She also attended Morgan State and Goucher. She taught at Gwynns Falls Elementary, Baltimore, at North Frederick Elementary, and served as Vice-Principal at Brunswick Elementary. Shirley became Assistant Administrator for Baltimore City Public Schools an Assistant Professor at Morgan State University at Baltimore.
