Doris Kelley Barker: The Goods ate at Mrs. Himes' restaurant across from the American Store almost every evening. Dad worked matinee, so some weeks, Mother and I ate there -- good food and Mrs.Himes was a lovely lady. | |||
Ruth E. Kennedy: I had her as a sixth grade teacher. She was also the principal. She was so strict. | |||

Hazel Good This photograph was taken in the then new teacher's lounge at BES in the early 1950s. Before the consolidated school, she taught 6th grade and later was principal at the old East End elementary school.
