Summary
This photo is from the 2008-09 yearbook and shows members of the BHS Boy's Varsity Lacrosse Team. Looking back through my yearbooks the earliest photo I could find of a lacrosse team was in the 2000-2001 yearbook so I think that was the first year BHS had a team.
I remember it was in the early 90s that one day after school while in my room I kept hearing a thump, thump, thump coming from an outside wall. When I looked out the window there was a student with a lacrosse stick throwing a ball against the downstairs wall and catching it. It was the first time I had ever seen a BHS student with a lacrosse stick so I went outside to talk with him.
The first thing I asked him was "Are you a transfer student?" and he replied yes he was and had moved up from Baltimore County. He asked me how I knew he was a new student and I told him the lacrosse stick gave him away because at the time FCPS had no lacrosse teams.
Of course the real reason I went down to talk with him was because he was disturbing my concentration while I was grading papers and whenever that would happen I had a tendency to grade harder ;=)!
