Brunswick People

Siblings Heaton Emanuel (Zeke) and Susan Winifred (Fred/Dee Dee) Wenner at their home on W. Brunswick Street in the 1969 Christmas season. Neither ever married and they lived together most of their lives.

Zeke was the 2nd baseman on the same great Brunswick town teams of the early 20th century as his brother, the legendary home run hitter George (Babe) Wenner. He & Freddy moved to Cadiz, Ohio, the birthplace of Clark Gable and one-time home of George Custer, where Zeke ran a large shovel. They moved back to Brunswick later in their lives. From the Myer Kaplon photo collection at the Brunswick Community Library and Smoketown History)

From Facebook: Peter: Cousin Freddy was a chronicler of the Wenner family, helping trace the side of the family that converted to Catholicism with the marriage of her mother Ellen Theresa Brady, from Donegal, Ireland, to William Waltman Wenner, Jr., back to original settler Elder Wilhelm or William Wenner around 1720.. Dave McLane: They were our great Aunt and Uncle Zeke used to take me to my Little League games in his 1957 Studebaker and stay--he loved baseball. Jun 21, 2013
