The 1983 Varsity Football season was a surprise to many, because with 20 players and a new head coach (Kevin Reily) they were picked to finish no better than 2-8. Winning their first four games they were ranked one of the top teams in the area for five weeks and at the end of the season players Brian Ebersole, Mark Switlick, Dale Stocks and Brian Ebersole received recognition on the all MVAL team.
