Hard to tell what the event was. 2) We've seen similar photos of this latticed stage at both the old Imperial Theater and a makeshift stage in a community space at the bottom of W. B Street before the 1955 Potomac River Bridge was constructed. This appears to have been the latter. See the heavy upright piano on the right.... current

For years in the 1950s and '60s, the Charles Harrington family decorated a huge pine tree in their yard at 605 N. Maple Avenue where neighborhood children performed “The Christmas Story,” recited the “Night Before Christmas,” and sang carols.
