Maryland Natural Resources Police: It is with deep sadness that we report the death of former NRP Reserve Officer Franklin Williams, 29, of Brunswick.
Franklin was killed Wednesday as he helped a friend trim a tree on property in Jefferson County, West Virginia. He died instantly after being struck by a falling limb.
Members of our reserve officer corps described him as dedicated and an integral part of our Western Region outreach efforts. Franklin assisted in boating safety and hunter education programs and was quick to volunteer at other agency events.
