Tourism Council recognizes ambassador of the year, new president By Paige Jones (Frederick News Post)

The Tourism Council of Frederick County named James Castle the Tourism Ambassador of the Year for 2015 at the organization's annual membership meeting held in October, according to a news release. The Tourism Ambassador for the Year award is given to anyone who helps to improve the experience of visitors in Frederick County, the release states. Castle has volunteered with the Brunswick Heritage Museum for 18 years, and most recently became board president. He created the Brunswick Ghost and History Walk, all the proceeds from which go to the museum, and has written two books about Brunswick history, the release states. In addition, Dave Ziedelis became the new board president after former President Sean Quill's term ended. Ziedelis, the general manager of the Frederick Keys, served as the first vice president of the group and will lead as president for two years, according to the release.
