From Brunswick: 100 Years of Memories (1990) Eugene Lincoln Harrison became manager of the B&O and Western Union Telegraph in Brunswick, the town that became his home. He was appointed to the Board of District School Trustees in 1900. In 1904 he was elected to the Maryland Legislature. He was active in helping establish a YMCA and the high school in Brunswick and served as mayor from 1914 to 1916. Dedicated to the cause of organized labor, he was a leading Republican in the town and state.
