Mrs. Ruth Kolker getting ready for a ride in a horse-drawn cart in front of the old Shell gas station on the corner of West Potomac Street and Maryland Avenue in the 1950s. Mrs. Kolker was married to businessman Irving Kolker, co-owner of People's Home & Auto. The Kolkers raised two children, Rob and Trish.
