Summary

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held their first meeting in Brunswick in the upstairs of the Moose Lodge on Nov 2, 1975, with 56 people attending. Ten months later, they moved to the Brunswick Elementary School, and in August of 1979 they moved to the church on B Street previously occupied by the Assembly of God. Services were held there until Dec 1985 when the branch was merged with part of the Middletown Ward to form the new "Jefferson Ward," with meetings held at the church in Frederick. With a growing congregation, it is anticipated that there will eventually be a church building in Brunswick. Brunswick Branch presidents included J. Wayne Potter (1975-78), Tom Hood (1978-80), George Hyatt (1980-84), and Wayne Allgaier (1984-85).
