Summary
Part of the 100 block of E. Potomac Street in 1978. The building on the left, which was the site of the Werntz store and later People's Fine Furniture, an extension of People's Home & Auto, was destroyed by fire in the 1980s. The large Victorian building, which is still standing, housed the Corner Pocket pool room, apartments and other shops. We believe the storefront on the right was originally Jones & Robinson's dry goods store around the turn of the last century.

Smoketown History (Brunswick, Md.) This old Mulkey store appears to have been in the location where the Corner Pocket.
