Summary

Hahn's Cafe 1940s - Hahn's was a popular eatery and saloon located at the corner of West B Street and Petersville Rd. Operated by Harry and Bessie Hahn, the cafe was constructed from wood salvaged from buildings that had been between the tracks in Old Berlin. It was torn down in 1950 as part of the right-of-way for the new Potomac River bridge that was completed in 1955. This is currently where the circle is located. The partially seen building on the far right was Feete's Funeral Home which is John T Williams Funeral Home.

Jim Dixon: As a kid I would take my nights catch of fishing worms to Harry Hahn, he would pay 1 cent a worm. Not sure if he was a fishermen or just like to pay the kids for fun.

In the upper left in the shadows, you can see some low-rise housing on N. VA Avenue. Those were owned by Lee Feete and burnt in the 1960s. The foundation is still up there on the hill....Peter
