She was married to Eugene Bowers, community leader and senior salesman at Litten's Cheverolet-Oldsmobile for years. Mrs. Bowers was also highly involved in Brunswick, including service to the American Legion Women's Auxiallary, Inner Wheel and the Bethany Lutheran Church, among other efforts and organisations.
See the "Cafe" sign behind the building behind Mrs. Bowers, which is still there. It was known for years as the Commuter Lounge. The old Meadows Building, which is still there as a restaurant, and the Bank of Brunswick are visible on the left.
