Summary

This photo, circa 1940, shows future Judge Bill (Billy) Wenner with a friend on the corner of N. Virginia Avenue and W. Potomac Street. The picture was taken across from the Wenner family's City Meat Market where the Ambulance Company is currently.

In the background, you see familiar downtown landmarks that are still standing today, starting with the porch of the historic Beall House, the oldest house in Brunswick. Down the street on the right are what was then Orrison's Market (the apartment building that recently sustained a fire), the old Reformed Church (now Beans in the Belfrey), and Kaplon's.
