Summary
This photo by Phil Peyton shows sisters Eva (standing) and Marie Harrington talking on their porch at the Harrington homeplace on N. Maple Avenue. Both lived there until their deaths in the 1960s.
Eva never married and remained home to help her parents raise another 9 children. Marie and sister Maude Custer ran the M&M Market next to Brunswick Florist shop on W. Potomac Street across from the People's National Bank. Their store was known for their excellent homemade fudge and other candies.
