Summary

Burkittsville Elementary School was rebuilt on the same location after a 1918 fire destroyed its short-lived predecessor. Debbie Zecher I went to school there.My teachers were Anna Betty Weedy first and second grades,Adele Hedges third and fourth and Ethel Hanes fifth and sixth grades.

Smoketown History (Brunswick, Md.) Mrs Hedges and Mrs Hanes also taught at Brunswick Elementary school.
