Summary
Local reporting on the funeral of Former Chief of Police Tommy Thompson. Since he had served faithfully during a time of declining health, he was accorded the honor of a traditional police funeral despite not having been killed in the line of duty. He was only 48.
Doris Kelley Barker Always loved Tommy at First Baptist Church and as our policeman. He also had his license, I believe, to fly an airplane.
