Mike Campbell In my time there , the dismantling of cars was done on the east end of the receiving yard. The area was located just beyond the car yard's west end. Not sure of the men.
Brenton Barger Mike Campbell they called that the "scrap yard".
John Roby Morsberger My Dad, John Henry Morsberger III, worked in the B&O scrap yard. One time he was cutting up a box car when the door fell to the ground pinning him beneath. A health issue at the time prevented him from speaking above a whisper. His coworkers used a crane to remove the door expecting him to be mashed flat underneath. There he was lying in a shallow depression, the only broken bone in the pinky finger of his left hand.
