This really brings back memories. I grew up on Walnut Street and remember riding my bike down to the YMCA. I parked my bike out back and there was a large stairway that you went up to go inside. The engineers and conductors would... be sitting in the lounge sleeping in chairs waiting to be called out for their next trip. I would occasionally go in the cafeteria that was in the YMCA to get something to drink
