Matt Rowland: One winter we had a car hood that we found and rode it down brickyard hill. I can’t remember who all was with us but it was probably me, Mark, Jimmy, and Paul. Once we got going we couldn’t steer it and ended up off to the left in the creek.

Randy Derflinger: Tim hit the bridge on solid ice, Co 19 took him to FMH, bout an hour later Froggys boy was coming down H St from the Mill down, I was coming from 2nd ave down, solid ice, couldn't turn, my rudder cut his eyebrow. Nuther Co 19 unit hauled him to FMH. I think we gave up sledding for that night !

Robert Foster: Sled down there all the time..Would get so much speed you would go up and down the other hills all the way to the old Laundry mat on Potomac St.
