Summary
Taking shelter while they wait for the Parade
The first Brunswick Holiday Parade was on December 1, 2018 coming down West Potomac Street to Square Corner Park. Rain was falling as a large number of people waited for the parade to begin but in the spirit of Christmas as the parade began to arrive the rain ended with just a very light drizzle. Children and a few young at heart scrambled for the candy being thrown from the parade participates and then Santa, the big man himself arrived on top of a fire truck. Santa climbed down from the fire truck to start the countdown for the annual tree lighting. After everyone hung their ornaments on the tree Santa sat down to discuss what the Children of Brunswick had in mind for Christmas. This was the first Brunswick Holiday Parade but the people attending are hoping it will not be the last and will be the start of a Brunswick annual tradition
