Summary

Our first weekly newspaper, The Brunswick Herald was owned and edited by E.C. Shafer, whose name you can faintly see on the door in a long gone building between the tracks that was originally owned by C.F. Wenner. It published local news, which is fortunately archived at the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore. The Brunswick Citizen has been reprinting snippets from its content for years in the popular "Brunswick 100 Years Ago" section.

The paper moved to a new location on the corner pf S. Delaware Avenue and Walnut Street in 1906.
