Ann Beacht: My grandfather, Lloyd Roelke, had the store next to the Reformed Church. After he sold the business to my father, William Roelke, Dad relocated to the old Acme building further down Potomac Street. Tony Cincotta owned that building and rented the space to Dad for Roelke's Market. Cincottas lived upstairs. After my grandfather died, my grandmother Katie Eagle Roelke, lived in one of the apartments that my grandad had converted the building into after it was no longer a grocery store.
