Summary

First block of E Potomac St Fire started in the corner buildings that were formerly S&N Katz & Darr's Tavern. Both buildings were part of Brunswick Seafood at the time of the fire. This fire was purposely set and people were trapped in the apartments above the businesses. It quickly spread to the buildings which were once the Coffman-Fisher Building (Lace Store) which at the time was Radio Shack and People Home Furnishings. Peoples had been displaced from their location down the street due to a fire. All of these building had to be demolished and this site became the what is now our Square Corner Park.
