Brenton Barger: Mr George Hardy was a good friend and neighbor. When my father passed away in 1964, Mr George was one of the first neighbors to stop and ask if he could help in any manner. He later put a door in our shed to house the riding lawn mower. As a small child, Mr George saw me with a old cracked box guitar...trying to learn how to play. He stopped his car...came over to the front porch and showed me how to tune and play 3 chords. Then ...off to work. That was the kind of man George Hardy was.
Joan Hardy Morris: The picture is my dad, George C. Hardy, Sr. who was married to Minnie Spriggs Hardy. Grandmother Hester was married to his father, George A. Hardy.
Mr George...every Sunday he had his violin to play at his church just a few yards away from my home. I always enjoyed our talks in my Dads store or whereever we would meet. Miss you Mr. George~Rhonda
