Summary
This watercolor and print was the creation of former BHS art teacher, Carroll Kehne, of his father's Gulf station in Frederick at Patrick & Jefferson Streets.
Carroll H. Kehne, Sr.,the proprietor of the station, who once served President Harry S. Truman on a trip to Camp David (then known as Shangri La), was brother to Cameron Kehne, a well known Brunswick businessman.
As many recall, Brunswick's "Keen Eye" ran the tavern near the tracks on S.Maple Avenue, popularly known as the Commuter Lounge. According to Carroll, the Kehne brothers were called "Keen Eye" because they kept a keen eye on their business.
