The High's and gas station on the corner of Souder Rd and Maple Ave were all there was to the shopping center from around 1972 until the late '80s as there was recently an article in the Citizen about the 25th anniversary. Seems to me the development company that bought the land for the shopping center ran into financial problems, which stalled the project for years. At least that's my recollection...Peter
David Powell: My mom Betsy Zientek was manager of Highs back in the 70s. Jefferson in the 80s.
Suzanne Hough: I remember when Keith Ryland worked at High's, he used to give us an extra scoop of ice cream! The good old days!!!!
