Summary
This sad 1967 photo shows the much-beloved Imperial Theater on W. Potomac Street, which had been deteriorating for years following its closure in 1962. A theater at this location dated back to a 1912 lease at the Frederick County Courthouse.
The old kiosk now resides at the Brunswick Heritage Museum. According to "Brunswick: 100 Years of Memories":
After the theater closed, Grayson Holler took over the building hoping to turn it into a nightclub for teens. However during renovations, the building collapsed. Danny Kehne next bought the lot and sold it to the fire company.
Can anyone confirm or expand on the information above and tell us when the building was finally razed or if it was a controlled burn?
The staircase on the right led to the balcony, which was closed off to unruly kids who threw popcorn and drinks on patrons below.

Anna Marie Miller Brookins First movie I saw was there ~ Bill Haley and the Comets “Rock Around The Clock”. Think it was mid 50s.
