Imperial Theater, W. Potomac St The theater was closed in 1962 and was in ruins for a few years before it was razed.

Reuben Moss: The remains of the Imperial Theater from before demolition. You can see through the roof and back wall. I'm told fire got her, but she was vacant beforehand. The Imperial was a unique theater for a 'small town' as it had two seperate stages/screens instead of just one. An early multiplex

Mary Jo Brown: The theater I believe was gone before the fire. If I am correct there was a furniture fining company in the basement that started the fire. The fire company was having their annual meeting and dinner when this fire happened. They ended up feeding all the firemen who were at the fire. My kids watch at our window as the place burned.

Reuben Moss: The Imperial Diamond sign and the lamps over the poster boards on each corner are now in the possession of the Museum
