Mrs. Lena Troxell in her Sunday best in front of Kaplon's. See the merchandise in the upstairs and downstairs store windows. (From the Myer Kaplon Photo Collection at the Brunswick Community Library; Frederick County Public Libraries)

From Facebook: Jeffrey Snoots: I remember Aunt Lena, she was my Aunt Bessie Shelton's sister, she was such a nice lady! May 12, 2013

I remember her on the street in downtown Brunswick looking like a "Grande Dame" when I was a kid in the '60s. Lived on the top of Maryland Ave above the Shell station. Very nice lady...Peter

Bob Day: She and her sister Mattie were town comics. She used to tell me not to wake up her mink cause she didn't want it to run away! May 13, 2013
