Summary
This photo is from 1990 and shows the members the BHS Mock Trial Team. Being Mock Trial advisor was my favorite activity working with students outside of the normal classroom setting not only because of the students themselves but also watching then learn to "think on their feet" when they had to react at times to situations that were unexpected. As Molly Furze wrote for the yearbook - "The case this year was a criminal case based on search and seizure. It was not an actual trial of conviction, but one to determine the legality of a police arrest in order to decide if the evidence should be suppressed." Jon Evans, teacher advisor thinks 'It's a very valuable experience for the students and I wish I had the opportunity when I was in school' …. Mock Trial takes a considerable amount of hard work, but it is well worth the effort." I've always wonder if being on the Mock Trial team ever inspired any student members to get a law degree and perhaps practice law in an actual courtroom setting. In the photo starting on the left - Kim Tyeryar, Valerie Hall, Amy Fenzel, Jonathan Koenig, Jason Peng, Dan Mascarello, Molly Furze, Kasey Myers, Kevin Conley, Joey Logan
