Summary
William "Pink" Nalley and his daughter Charlotte pose with 3 puppies sometime in the 1930s. Charlotte looks thrilled!
Doris Kelley Barker This is my good friend Jo Jamison’s Mother and her dad. We loved this family and we were all at First Baptist with them. It is adorable. Mr.Pink Nalley would tell me to bring Kevin out to his farm and Kevin got to ride his Tennessee Walker, tall lovely horse. Mr. Pink would walk his horse with Kevin on it. Such fun.
Rhonda Rooney Yes, our family knew all there was about horses/ponies (equine). Uncle Pink and my Daddy (Pinks nephew) favorite was The Tennesse Walker that he called Biggy or Big Boy! My Dad and I both rode him only separately as I was a great horsewoman and needed no help even at a very young age. I am Pinks great niece and Charlotte and Jo are my cousins. My cousin Kay Nalley was also a top notch rider too. Uncle Pink had us girls on a horse or pony before we could even walk.
Doug Heffner I was a little too young to no much about Mr Pink Nalley. Knew His Grandson Sam.Real nice guy. My most lingering memory is that peacock and the screech that thing could make. Pap George Heffner Had roosters that could wake the dead. But once that peacock got in gear they would get drowned out !
Charlie Smith i road Pink Nalley's ponys many times at Braddock Heights. Pink and my Daddy were great friends from the railroad and he would allow me to have extra rides on his ponies. I also went with my Daddy to his auctions near Sandy Hook. He auctioned Harpers Ferry rifles for .50 cents, your choice. He was a worker and a good person.
Peter Wenner Pink Nalley was my grandfather's business partner in the store on the corner of G St. and Maple Avenue in the 1920s/early 30s. Even though Pink later became a competitor next-door, they remained good friends throughout their lives. My father spoke of the Nalleys as if they were part of our family.
