Summary

The Members of the Corporation of Park Heights Cemetery met for the 55th consecutive quarterly Meeting, at City Hall, on January 24th. Mudd Brooks was remembered for his faithful support of the Cemetery over many decades. All 2018 Officers and Directors were unanimously re-elected. Jim Cox and Becky Wood will continue as President and Treasurer, however we actively seek successors for both positions. The Corporation warmly elected new Directors: Diane Alger, Dr. Wayne Allgaier, and Steve White. 2019 Budget, and Prices, were approved. A Lot Sale will not be held this year, but a substantially reduced price will be available every day – watch for more detail on our website, the Citizen, and Facebook. Several special projects to help assure the future of the Cemetery are now underway. Clean-Up Day will be held on Saturday March 23 at 9am at the Cemetery. The Eagles Aerie 1136 Ladies Auxiliary will hold a Bonanza Bingo event for the Cemetery on Saturday March 30. Special thanks to Steadman-Keenan American Legion Post 96 for helping us to raise some funds during January, as we always remember and honor the 236 Veterans who rest in the Cemetery. Grass cutting gets underway in April, so donations are greatly appreciated. We are thankful, and always value, community and City trust and support!
