These photographs date from the early 1900's and show the ongoing construction of the Brunswick Railroad Yard. More specifically, these photos show the Eastbound "Hump". Here, individual trains were "made up" with the help of nature's gravitational pull. What interesting components do you see in the two photos? We will discuss a few in tomorrow's posting.
