Summary

This photo shows the members and advisors of the 2001 Random Acts of Kindness Club. RAK was a group of students organized to perform various service acts benefiting not only Brunswick High School but also the surrounding community. Members of the club helped out each winter year with a food drive for the Brunswick Food Bank. They also helped with the Jefferson Ruritan Club's Easter egg hunt, the community supper and the annual carnival. One of RAK's biggest projects each year was its annual Halloween party held for the children who lived in the community and manned by RAK members. At this party children some of the activities that children can participate in were engaged games, facing painting, costume competitions, Halloween crafts and other activities the children enjoyed. Admittance was free to all although people were asked to bring canned goods that go to the Jefferson Food Bank. RAK also provided a scholarship each year to those pursuing their education past high school.
