Summary

Russell Litten (right) posed with some local boys in front of his West End car dealership around 1950. Since the shot is blurry, here’s what it says:

"Hey Fellows! It's Derby Time. Register Here."

Litten’s sponsored the soap box derby races held on E. Potomac Street from the top of “deadman’s curve” past City Park. Races were held all over the county in the summertime.

The boys with Mr. Litten are believed to be: (L-R) Danny Lutman, Noel Shewbridge, Blaine Davis, Atlee Grams and Brock Gordon.
