Up until 1989, the J.V. team had its best season in BHS history. Their victorious season was due to the girls combing their individual skills along while cooperating with each other to make a very successful team of the playing field.
The team had a new coach that year, Larry Shew. When asked about the team’s new coach, one player commented “Coach Shew helped us to work with each other instead of against each other.”
Another player remarked about the team as a whole “We had a whole lot of fun with each other and I got to know a lot of people on the team.”
Combining hard work with fun is always a great combination for a team to have a successful season.
